Designing Design is an attempt to analyse, identify and develope the thue DNA of Danish Design.
Until now design has assisted the creation of Denmark in many ways – some subtle and some quite obvious and visible, and design has helped brand Denmark. Design has also been adding value to Danish products and shaped corporate identities over the last many decades. Within the public domain there are a large number of areas where design has helped form Denmark.
Design will probably be a key element for countries like Denmark in order to differentiate themselves in the still more competitively challenging world of globalization.
The success of this future process of developing a national strategy for Danish design will of course also rely on the involvement and commitment of political and governmental bodies.
This will be some of the most interesting and crucial questions to be dealt with at the second seminar in September 30 - October 01-02 of 2008.
